Super Robot Wars Operation Extend original mecha, characters, systems revealed

This month’s Famitsu magazine has shed a few more details on the upcoming PSP downloadable title, Super Robot Wars Operation Extend, such as the original characters, mecha and some new systems.

Original Hero – Kusanagi Seishiro (草薙征士郎)

Original Heroine – Yaegaki Himari (八重垣ひまり)

Exart (エグザート)

A 2 seater robot that was developed by Seishiro’s mother and is piloted by Seishiro.

System Introduction 1: Knockback Attack (押し出し攻撃)

Certain weapons have a knockback effect which can be used to displace enemies. Here an enemy Invader gets kicked away from the White Base.

System Introduction 2: High angle attack (曲射攻撃)

Terrain matters in OE, as standard weapons can’t shoot through terrain like hills. However, certain weapon types marked as high angle (曲射攻撃) allows you to shoot over these obstacles. Furthermore, the enemy can’t counterattack unless they possess a high angle attack weapon as well.

System Introduction 3: Breakthrough attack (突破攻撃)

Breakthrough attacks allow a unit to cause damage to enemies as they move through an area, similar to a MAP attack, but your unit actually moves to the target location. Here Raijin-oh charges through a bunch of enemies while dealing damage to them.

Keroro Gunso PG Gundam Bonus

SRW OE is set to be released as 8 separate chapters, it seems those who purchase the 8 in 1 bundle will also receive a special 1/60 PG Gundam unit for Keroro Gunso.
